A CHANCE TO DANCE WITH THE MILESTONE BIG BAND

Alison Martin

Some of you will know that I play the trumpet... some of you will have heard it either at carol services, or at Remembrance Sunday or some of you may have heard me as part of a bigger outfit called the Milestone Big Band.

We rehearse each Tuesday evening in the Parish Hall and although I'm the only person now in the band who lives in Charlwood, the links with the original "Charlwood Big Band" and the support from within the village for the current band is strong and we very much appreciate that!

I'm putting this in the Parish News to let a (hopefully) wider or new audience know that we are hosting a dance evening on March 4th in the Drill Hall at Horsham where a world class dance partnership will be teaching the basics for a cha cha cha and giving a short display themselves, before it's time to take to the floor and show off your new found (or well established) dance skills to a variety of music from the band.

Tickets are £15 per person and will be available through eventbrite on line or by contacting me, Alison Martin, through Charlwood Church, or on 01293 863129.

I do hope some of you will be able to come........ this is our first such venture and we'd like it to be successful. Do ask around and bring friends and please feel free to ask me any questions I haven't covered. Many thanks!
